Robotics team shirt questions

How much do robotics team shirts cost?

Robotics team tees run $8 to $12 each at 50 pieces and $7 to $10 each at 100. Hoodies run $24 to $32 each at 50, and polos and quarter-zips are priced the same way on your quote. That is a typical delivered price per piece with shipping included, and it drops as your team orders more. Your free quote is itemized and exact.

Can you print sponsor logos on the back?

Yes. A sponsor back is the most common robotics layout: the team name on the front and a grid of sponsor logos on the back. Send each logo as a vector file if the sponsor has one, in the order you want them shown. You see every logo placed on the free mockup, so sponsors can sign off before anything is printed.

Can mentors get a different color shirt?

Yes. Many teams run students in one color and mentors in a second, with the same design on both, so adults are easy to find in a crowded pit. For more than one shirt color, send the split with your request and your quote confirms it. A mentor quarter-zip with the team name on the chest is a common step up.

Can we pay with a school purchase order?

Yes. Paid in full by Stripe invoice, card or ACH. School, district and company purchase orders accepted. Schools and districts: Net 30 on an approved purchase order. Paying from a student council or school activity fund works the same way: you get an itemized quote to hand to the bookkeeper, and nothing is made until the mockup and the price are approved.

What is the minimum order for robotics team shirts?

The minimum is 50 pieces per order. A full roster plus mentors and parents usually clears it. Sizes are mixed in one run. One price per piece across every adult size, 3XL+ included. Youth sizes are priced on your quote. The price per piece drops at 100 and again at 250, and your free quote confirms the exact price for your count.

How early should we order before a competition?

About 3 weeks from mockup approval to in hand: about 2 weeks of production, then about 1 week of shipping. Free mockup and itemized quote by the next business morning (CT), so the timeline starts when you approve it. Sponsor lists often change late, so lock the design early and send the final logos last.

More about robotics team shirts

Shirts for build season and competition days

A robotics team needs two things from a shirt. In the shop it has to survive build season: grease, metal shavings and a lot of washing. At a competition it has to make the team easy to spot from the stands and in a crowded pit. Most teams pick one strong color, put the team name and number large on the front, and keep the same shirt for every event of the season so judges, volunteers and other teams learn to recognize it.

Sponsor logos on the back

Sponsors fund the season, and the back of the shirt is where teams thank them. A simple grid works best: every logo the same height, the largest sponsors on the top row. Ask each sponsor for a vector file and for the version of the logo they want on a dark shirt. One print color for the whole grid keeps the price down and usually looks cleaner than a mix of brand colors.

A second color for mentors

Running mentors, coaches and parent volunteers in a second shirt color makes adults easy to find when a student needs help fast. The design stays the same, only the shirt color changes, and a word on the back such as MENTOR does the rest. Drive team and pit crew backs work the same way for students.

What we print for robotics teams

Custom t-shirts: the shirt everyone gets. Custom hoodies: the warm layer for early mornings and cold rooms. Custom polo shirts: embroidered on the chest for advisors, coaches and dressier days. Custom quarter-zips: a step up for officers and adults. Not sure how sizes run? See the size guide.

Collecting sizes from the team

Send one form to students, mentors and parents and collect real sizes instead of guessing. Total each size, then send the breakdown with your logo files and your count. Order a few extra in the middle sizes for students who join after kickoff.
