Why the per-unit price falls as quantity rises
The expensive part of decorating merch happens once. Burning a screen for screen printing, digitizing a logo for embroidery, or building a print file costs the same whether the run is 40 pieces or 400, so that one-time setup is divided across the whole order. Double the quantity and each piece carries half the setup. That is the whole mechanism, and it is why the same shirt costs less each at 100 than at 50, and less again at 250.
The blank itself also comes down at volume, which is the second and smaller lever. Between the two, quantity is the single biggest thing you control on a merch budget, which is why every band on this page is tied to one.
What a single made-to-order run means
Everything in your order is produced together as one job rather than pulled from stock or printed one at a time as orders trickle in. One design, one approved mockup, one setup, one production run. That is what makes volume pricing possible in the first place, and it is why you can mix every size from XS to 2XL in the same run at no extra cost.
It also means we are a supply and procurement partner rather than a catalog with a checkout: we source the blanks, set up the decoration, run quality control, and deliver. Print-on-demand works the opposite way, making one item at a time at a higher price per piece, and it is the better tool for genuine one-offs.
Bulk tee shirt printing by quantity
Tee shirt printing is where quantity matters most, because tees are the highest-volume item most groups order and the method is chosen by the artwork. Screen printing pushes ink through a stencil, one screen per color, so it carries a one-time setup and then gets cheaper per shirt with every unit added: for a bold one- or two-color logo it is both the cheapest and the most durable finish, and it is what most bulk tee shirt printing actually runs on.
DTF, direct-to-film, prints the design onto a film and heat-presses it across. There is no per-color setup, so a photographic or many-colored design costs the same as a simple one, and it gives full color on almost any fabric, polyester blends included. Pricing is per product. Each distinct item, a tee, a hoodie, a tote, is set up and decorated separately, so each one is priced against its own quantity and its own tier. Mixing sizes or colors of the same product does not split it: that is still one run. Ordering several different products together is normal and we quote them as one project.
